“After being taken under his wing by Diynamic boss Solomun back in 2007, young Martin Stimming fast set about unleashing his beautiful deep house creations on the world. He’s been one of those artists who has impressed from the first release, and consistently thereafter – ensuring that there’s always a buzz around his name and his new releases.

His knack for mixing the organic with the computerised, the analog with the digital, and real-world sounds with “fake” ones has made him stand out in a scene where lazy looping of old disco and blues records often prevails, and often makes for stunning results. Our personal highlight from his keen mind is still the mesmerising Kleine Nachtmusik – a clunking, molasses-thick groove drenched in soft trumpet motifs and lush strings that sounds like nothing else.
